Over the last 11 weeks we’ve kept hundreds of families supplied with regular deliveries of food and household supplies, never turning down a request for an item, queueing in shops to pick up things we do not stock ourselves and delivering them with no mark up.
As the lockdown is easing we’ve stepped back, looked at what we can offer and how to make our business fit in with our family life, and we’ve taken the tough decision to close the deli until the number of visitors supports re-opening.
We are still baking regularly and all of the deli’s products are available on our local deli website for home delivery.
We will probably be re-opening the deli when the rest of the centre opens, possibly in July, although we may limit our opening days to Friday and Saturday. Please follow us on social media @withiesdeli to keep up with the latest developments.

We have been following government guidelines of no more than two customers in the shop at any one time, and requesting that people retain a distance of 2m apart.
We are regularly disinfecting the door handles, card machine, and surfaces. We have also removed the scoops and tongs from the bulk buy / plastic-free section. These are being kept behind the counter and disinfected after each use. If you need to use one please ask, I will hand it to you, then you can hand it back once you’re finished where I will run it through the dishwasher.
We hold a five-star hygiene rating so as always we are washing our hands between each customer and disinfecting surfaces at regular intervals.
Yes, we do accept contactless payments, We are disinfecting the card reader between uses and can also break each order down into sub-£30 payments if necessary.
We are happy to deliver a weekly bread box within a five-mile radius of the deli. We are also happy to deliver to drop-off points and to work with other retailers to ensure that you get the goods that you are after.
Furthermore we are working with Taunton Independent Market to deliver bread, cheese and other deli treats to Taunton, Wellington, Wiveliscombe, North Petherton, Bridgwater, Ilminster & everywhere in between.
Yes, if you are having bread delivered weekly, say on a Monday and a Friday, you can add any of the items we have on the website such as cheese, wine or cider, simply by putting them through as a normal website order.
You can buy a gift card on this website which will arrive in their inbox either instantly or at a date of your choosing. They will then be able to come in and use it in the shop or use it in our online delicatessen to order some food for delivery, even a regular weekly bread box!
