About Laura & Jamie

Laura has a BA in Human Geography and an MSc in Spatial Planning (Sustainable Development & Food Miles). Jamie spent 14 years working in IT before diving headlong into the world of food. Together they have developed food businesses, winning New Business of the Year in 2014 for Haven Coffeebar, and Best Independent Retailer in 2018 for Withies Delicatessen. Additonally Jamie’s West Country Sourdough scored First Place in the Craft Bakers Association Western Region Championships in 2018/2019, making it officially the Best in the West. They run Withies Delicatessen out of a desire not just to provide the best food but to teach and inspire people to live a more earth-friendly life, kinder to the environment, to their neighbours and to themselves.
