Beeswax Wraps

What are beeswax wraps?

Beeswax wraps are a natural alternative to single use plastic, cling film and foil. They are best used for school lunchs and snacks, and for wrapping cheese, bread and cut fruity and veg. Beeswax wraps can be 100% natural and the combination of ingredients allows the wraps to be waterproof but also breath which ensures your food stays fresh. Beeswax wraps are usually a cotton fabric covered with beeswax (or soy wax) and jojoba oil. Some beeswax wraps include pine resin which makes the reusable food wrap extra sticky.

Beeswax wraps can be repasteurised when necessary, in a warm oven, and should last for 12 months, at which point they can be composted.
