Courses in our delicatessen in Somerset
The deli is in the tranquil settings of the Willows & Wetlands where you can enjoy walks through the wilderness, guided tours of the site, museums and crafting areas, free car parking and facilities and a number of independent retailers such as Fallow and Fern Interiors, Edwinas Flowers, Pallker Art Glass, Coates English Willows and The Lemon Tree cafe with it’s range of cakes, teas, coffees and light meals. Of course the lovely Sarah Le Breton also runs her willow courses from this site. Only 15 minutes from Taunton and 10 minutes from the junction 25 of the M5 it provides a unique shopping experience and is a great place to visit, and with each of the businesses running regular events or courses it really is a creation destination.

Breadmaking courses, Beeswax Wraps courses & more
Learn how to bake bread or make beeswax wraps at Withies Delicatessen, an award-winning enterprise at the Willows & Wetlands in the heart of Somerset. WIthies Deli was set up in 2017 by husband and wife Jamie and Laura Jensen, their philosophy being if you buy good food from good people then the world becomes a better place. The shop boasts an impressive array of regional delicacies while in the dedicated training area upstairs you can learn how to bake bread, be a better cook or make cool eco stuff like Beeswax Wraps and Funky Reusable Bags.
Group Course Bookings
Do you have a party of six or more that you’d like to book onto a course? Maybe it’s a hen do or a mini-breather in the stag party, a birthday, reunion, team-building exercise or a corporate event. Let us know which course you’re interested in, and which date, and I’ll see if we can fit you in.
Childrens Parties & Activities
We have the Cookie Decoration Station in operation throughout the year, allowing your little ones (and not so little ones!) to unleash their creative side playing with flood decoration, sprinkles and glitters on a choice of butter cookie shapes such as dinosaurs, unicorns, gingerbread men and seasonal favourites like Christmas trees and Easter Bunnies. Incidentally this may buy you 5 minutes of peaceful shopping – worth it’s weight in gold!!
We do also run childrens parties and baking courses for children upstairs too. Whether that’s cookie decorating for up to ten kids upstairs or something a bit more extreme like the insanely messy food fight do get in touch with the form below. We do ask that at least two responsible adults stay with the children to help with corralling and bathroom breaks. Short straw? Rock Paper Scissors? Don’t worry, you’ll have as much fun as the kids do!
