Their eyes roll heavenward as they crunch into another cracker laden with soft cheese, pickled veg and duck parma ham. ‘Where did you get all of this?’ they ask, mopping the juice up with a hunk of crusty bread.
You smile and try to sound all casual as you say, ‘Oh, I knocked it all up this afternoon.’
On this course you’ll learn how to:
- Bake baguettes
- make duck parma ham
- quick pickle vegetables
- make a soft, spreadable cheese
- cure, or ceviche, fish
There will be 5 of us on the course and you’ll each get a chance to learn and practice the techniques above, all sitting down at the end of the course to eat what you’ve made then divvying up the leftovers to take home and give to your loved ones.
